Website privacy
Effective October 5, 2026
This notice covers BayAreaApps.com and its Paws & Whiskers and Paws & Whiskers Visit companion pages.
Website visits
These websites are hosted by GitHub Pages. Hosting and advertising providers may process technical information such as your IP address, browser, device information, pages visited, and request logs to deliver pages, maintain security, measure use, and provide advertising.
Advertising and cookies
We use Google AdSense to support these websites with advertising. The homepage also contains a Google Ads measurement tag. Google and other advertising vendors may use cookies, web beacons, local storage, IP addresses, and device or browser identifiers to deliver, measure, and personalize advertising, including based on visits to this and other websites.
Google advertising cookies can allow Google and its partners to show ads based on your visits to this website and other websites. Other vendors or ad networks may also serve ads and use cookies for advertising and measurement.
Your advertising choices
You can manage personalized Google advertising through My Ad Center. You can learn about choices for participating advertising vendors at AboutAds. Browser settings can restrict or clear cookies. Where an advertising privacy or consent message appears, use its controls to make or update your choices.

Information you share
The care-line companion page links to its separate request form. Paws & Whiskers Visit includes a visit request form and private visit pages. Email links open your email application. If you contact us, we receive the details you choose to send and use them to respond and maintain related correspondence.
The care-line form and apps
The Paws & Whiskers request form is a separate service. Its care-line privacy notice describes submitted questions, attachments, payments, and service records. This website notice does not replace the privacy notices in individual apps.
Paws & Whiskers Visit payments
Paws & Whiskers Visit uses PayPal to process booking payments, including Apple Pay where available. PayPal handles payment details. Our service, hosted by Cloudflare, stores visit requests, the contact and pet details you provide, your visit address and preferred time, appointment status, messages, service price, and payment or refund status. Our private business app accesses these records through a protected business connection. The secure checkout link contains a random booking reference; anyone you share it with can view its service, price, and payment status. Your private visit page shows your pet name, service, appointment information, your visit address, a location you choose to share, payment status, and messages. It does not show our home, our map location, or how far away we are. Its separate access key is included in the private link, so keep that link safe. Anyone who has it can view the page and send messages. We use your records to coordinate visits, communicate, and maintain related business records; email correspondence remains part of our business correspondence. These private visit pages do not load advertising or analytics scripts. Contact us about your records or privacy requests.
Visit location and distance
Clients do not receive our home address, service-area map point, or distance. Our business app may keep a private service area so we can judge a visit. That point is never sent to the client website or a client visit response. Clients may choose to share a one-time location from their browser while at the visit address; browser permission and confirmation are required. Shared coordinates are stored with the private visit request and can be removed from its private page. We do not continuously track clients or the business phone, and we do not show clients how far away we are. Our business app may send a visit address to Apple’s location service to estimate the client’s location for our own use. The client website does not embed a map of either location. A map link on the private page opens Apple Maps for the client’s own visit address only. Your address and any location you share are private to the business and anyone with your private visit link. Removing client details also removes their stored address and coordinates.
